What is One Planning?
One Planning uses a person centered approach to plan support for individual students. Students on the SEN List have a One Plan Meeting each term with a member of the Faculty of Learning Support Staff. At this meeting, we discuss any barriers to learning that students have, look at their current academic performance and set Outcomes which will enable students to access the curriculum and make progress.
Before The Meeting
You will receive your child's Progress Report. This will let you know how your child is doing in their subjects.
It will help if you think about the following:
During the Meeting
The Meeting will follow this Agenda:
Discussion around Good Day, Bad Day, what is working well and any concerns.
Discussion about academic and social performance.
Time to set Outcomes and devise strategies.
Recap of above and any questions.
Set date and time of next Meeting.
After The Meeting
The One Plan will be written.
A copy is sent to the Teaching Staff, Co-Educators and parents.
